Here's an overview of what's happening in sports in October!



 

University Sports: In October, university campuses come alive with fierce competitions. College football is at its peak, with fiery conference games, while the soccer, basketball, and hockey seasons are in full action and captivating fans. Every year, the end-of-month tournaments promise moments of tension and triumph for the teams and their supporters.



 

NFL: This jewel of American sport reaches its peak in October. Every Sunday, stadiums echo with the roar of passionate crowds as teams pull out all the stops to fight their way to the playoffs. AFC vs. NFC Super Bowl LVIII is near!



 

NBA: The basketball courts light up in October with the start of the NBA season. The talented teams deliver electrifying first matches, fueling fans' hopes for a stellar season. The bold draft moves add intrigue to an already spectacular league.

CPL: In Canada, the Premier League, which determines the Canadian football (soccer) club which will represent Canada and participate in the famous CONCACAF Champions Cup, completes its regular season in October and also begins playoff hostilities.


CONCACAF: The Champions League which with a total of 16 professional soccer teams, from eight participating nations, is a fierce tournament. All eyes are on the soccer (football) superstars who come from the best clubs in North America, Central America and the Caribbean.




CFL: In October the Canadian Football League presents exciting games en route to the conference finals and the legendary Grey Cup championship.



MLR: Major League Rugby has grown since 2018 and rugby teams compete in crucial and merciless matches. The MLR is 12 teams of colossal athletes who put on a show of strength and prowess.




FIVB: In October, the International Volleyball Federation organizes major international competitions, while the National Volleyball Association in the United States and Volleyball Canada see their teams participate in national tournaments, intensifying the competition.




IHF: Although handball is not as widespread in North America, at the international level, the scene comes alive in October with major competitions under the auspices of International Handball Federation.




ATP and WTA: Professional tennis players compete in end-of-season tournaments such as the US Open Series in October. This marks the last stretch before the ATP Finals and the WTA Finals which crown the best tennis players (man and woman) in the world.




PGA: Early october marks the close of the golf season with tournaments such as the Tour Championship and the Ryder Cup providing amazing moments for professional golfers.
